Contributor Guidelines

PCOM Perspectives publishes essays, reporting, reviews, poetry, photography, and community events from LGBTQ/SGL* contributors and allies.

• Pitches: 1–2 paragraphs describing the story, the angle, and why now. Send via Pitch a Story.
• Essays and features: 600–1,800 words. Reviews: 400–900 words. Reporting: word count to fit the story.
• Submit a short bio (under 60 words) and a headshot or contributor image with every accepted piece.
• We pay attention to clarity, accuracy, source care, and respect for community subjects.
• All material is edited collaboratively; final publication decisions rest with the editorial team.
